Prehistoric history will lead you to the second UNESCO-listed site where human remains, dating back nearly one million years, were discovered in the caves of the Sierra de Atapuerca. The remains found were of our Neanderthal predecessor called, Homo Heidelbergensis. Paintings and engravings on walls indicate that inhabitants from the Neolithic and Bronze Ages also resided here.
