The Illuminati see Hulk more as a liability than an ally. They trick him into getting on a ship, which they claim will take him back to Earth. In reality, they’re planning to send him to an uninhabited planet where he could spend the rest of his life. 

Their plan takes an unexpected turn when Hulk crashes on a brutal planet ruled by the Red King. The monarch enjoys bloody gladiatorial fights and initially rejoices when he sees Hulk in the arena.  Hulk immediately clashes with the monarch, and through his battles, he starts to gain the trust and respect of the fellow fighters. A band of gladiators called the Warbound slowly forms. Although reluctant to begin with, Hulk finally embraces the role of leader and aided by Caiera, Red King’s Shadow Warrior, they put an end to the ruthless domination. 

In the end, Hulk and Caiera become husband and wife, and while they’re expecting a child, they work hard to rebuild the world left behind by the Red King. Unfortunately, the dream both Hulk and Bruce wanted to live in soon shatters. The ship that took Hulk to this planet unexpectedly explodes, destroying the capital and killing countless innocents, including Caiera.
