Efter dagens alla steg, kom det femte vykortet i utmaningen King of Wakanda.
T’Challa’s memories have been wiped. He has no recollection of his family, his kingdom, or his role. He shares this fate with millions of people who are nameless, devoid of their memories, and bound to work in the Vibranium mines of the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda. Far away from Earth, T’Challa joins a band of rebels called the Maroons, who are opposing the forces of the Empire and its emperor, N’Jadaka.
The truth about this empire is pieced together slowly. A while back, King T’Challa sent a group of Wakandans to explore the Vega system to fulfill his mother’s dreams of an intergalactic Wakandan empire. After the explorers failed to return or send any messages, T’Challa decided to go looking for them. He did not know, however, that the astronauts had traveled through a temporal anomaly and that for them, thousands of years had passed. This original group created a new culture, one in which self-defense turned into conquest and power turned into tyranny. Over the years, slavery was instituted, and this civilization developed a method of robbing people not only of their freedom but also of their memories, which were stored and used.
This is the empire T’Challa has stumbled into. At its helm stands Emperor N’Jadaka. Born a fighter, he has combined with an alien Klyntar symbiote that grants him immense power. But he desires more—the power of a god.
The Orisha have abandoned the Wakandans back on Earth, but they were not killed as their worshipers feared; they have simply turned their attention to the more faithful Wakandans living millions of light-years away. N’Jadaka visits the Orisha and steals Bast’s power, becoming a god himself. The goddess, with the little power she has left, turns to T’Challa and offers to restore his memory. Meanwhile, rebels set a trap for N’Jadaka and lure him to a planet just before setting off a bomb that detonates its core, killing him.
T’Challa is now able to contact Wakanda Prime and eventually return home. Without his knowledge, however, the Klyntar symbiote survives the blast and travels to Earth, where it discovers and bonds with Killmonger. Not wanting to leave all the Nameless to their fate, T’Challa organizes a full-scale war.
But it takes more than raw power and strategy to cleanse the sins of an empire. While Shuri and Ororo work with the rebels to hold back the Empire’s forces, T’Challa travels to Djalia and pleads with his ancestors to restore the memories of the Nameless. Meanwhile, Ramonda asks the Originators to fight alongside Wakandans for glory, honor, and the hope of a new home.
With their memories restored, the Nameless rise against their masters. T’Challa kills N’Jadaka, and the goddess Bast regains her power, retaking her place among the Orisha. Peace returns for all Wakandans, the Originators are freed and given their own planet, and T’Challa is crowned emperor.
